So Many Places to Visit
A short five minute walk from the site, through the recreation fields of the cricket pitch, tennis courts and Bowls Club, you will find the historic village of West Hoathly. Queen Square in the village features the Manor House & Priest House Museum with much local history and the very beautiful St Margaret’s Church. The 15th century Cat Inn pub can be found opposite the church and is known for its local beer (Harveys of Lewes) and excellent menu.
A general grocers store is located in nearby Sharpthorne, 1.5 miles to the east. The Fox pub, located between the two villages is also highly recommended with a great menu and fun atmosphere. West Hoathly benefits from an extensive network of public footpaths though farmland, woodland and the surrounding villages and these paths offer some far reaching views across the Sussex High Weald all the way to the South Downs National Park.
Just 15 minutes from both Haywards Heath and East Grinstead, Hook Farm is in an ideal location for those looking for a campsite nearby. The nearest Camping supply shop is 20 minutes from the Farm and if you are travelling from London it is enroute, check out SK Camping in Surrey.
You are inland at Hook Farm campsite, but it is less than an hour to the south coast where you will find Brighton, Hove, Worthing as well as Portsmouth one way and Eastbourne the other! The historic Arundel with its amazing castle is also less than an hour away. So many places to visit, easily for a day out!
